Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds to a vehicle clear coat and cures into a hard, hydrophobic layer. The coating resists UV fade, chemical etching and light swirling, makes washing far easier, and holds a deeper gloss than wax for two years or more.
The two year System X ceramic coating package starts at $1,500. The final figure depends on vehicle size and how much paint correction is needed first. A heavily swirled black truck takes considerably more correction hours than a well kept sedan, and that is where the range comes from.
A properly applied System X coating lasts two years or more. Longevity depends on how the vehicle is washed and stored. Automatic brush washes and dish soap will shorten the life of any coating, which is why we hand over a written aftercare guide.
No. A coating adds hardness and resists light marring from washing, but it will not stop a rock chip, a key or a shopping cart. Anything sold as scratch proof is being oversold. What a coating reliably prevents is chemical etching, UV fade and water spotting.
We can, but we do not recommend it. A coating is optically clear and locks the paint in its current state for years, so any swirl left underneath stays visible until the coating is removed. That is why machine correction is built into every package rather than sold as an upsell.
Use the two bucket method with a pH neutral car shampoo, a clean microfiber mitt and a separate drying towel. Skip automatic brush washes and never use dish soap. A coated car typically needs washing less often, and each wash takes far less effort.
