A proper decontamination wash, wheels done right, trim brought back and a protective finish on the paint. Not a tunnel wash.
Two to three hours on a standard car or SUV, and every step below is included at $150.
Standard car or SUV. Large trucks, lifted vehicles, heavy tar, overspray or tree sap are quoted individually before work begins.
Automatic washes are fast and cheap, and they are also the single most common cause of the swirl marks we spend hours correcting.
Tunnel brushes carry grit from the car in front of you and drag it across your clear coat. Every pass adds swirls.
Iron remover dissolves embedded brake dust and a clay treatment lifts bonded fallout. A wash cannot do either.
Faces, barrels, lug recesses and wheel wells, with dedicated wheel cleaner and separate tools that never touch paint.
Faded black plastic trim is dressed back to a factory satin, which changes how the whole vehicle reads more than people expect.
Bare, clean paint gets a sealant. Slick paint stays cleaner for longer and washes off far more easily next time.
Filtered air and clean microfiber, not a shared blower and a tired chamois. Drying is where most wash induced scratches happen.
Wheels are the dirtiest part of the car. They get cleaned before anything else so their grime never lands on clean paint.
Pre rinse, then two bucket hand wash top down, so the dirtiest lower panels are done last.
Iron remover and clay treatment. This is the step tunnel washes skip and the reason your paint feels rough.
Filtered air and clean towels, then sealant on dry, clean paint while the surface is still uncontaminated.
Exterior detailing is a hand wash plus decontamination of the paint, wheels, tires and trim, finished with a layer of protection. Iron fallout remover and a clay treatment pull out bonded contamination that washing alone leaves behind, which is what makes the surface feel smooth rather than gritty.
Exterior detailing is $150 for a standard car or SUV. Large trucks, lifted vehicles and anything carrying heavy tar, tree sap or paint overspray takes longer and is quoted individually. You get the number before we start.
A car wash removes loose dirt. An exterior detail removes loose dirt, then removes what is chemically bonded to the paint with iron remover and clay, then puts protection back on. The finished surface feels glass smooth rather than slightly gritty, and it stays clean noticeably longer.
Every three to four months suits most vehicles in the Upstate, with regular maintenance washing in between. Vehicles parked outside under trees, or driven on interstate every day, benefit from more frequent decontamination because of sap, pollen and brake dust.
Yes, and we bring our own water supply so we are not dependent on your outdoor tap. We use controlled pressure at a safe distance. If you have concerns about drainage or where the runoff goes, tell us when you book and we will position accordingly.
No. An exterior detail cleans and protects but it does not correct. Swirl marks are physical defects in the clear coat and only machine polishing removes them. If swirls are what bother you, paint correction is the service you actually want.
A paint sealant is included in the exterior detail, which typically holds for four to six months. If you want protection measured in years rather than months, System X ceramic coating is the step up, and correction is included in those packages.
Complete interior and exterior service. The full reset, inside and out, in one visit.
Deep vacuum, steam, shampoo and conditioning. Every seam, vent and crevice.
System X paint protection with a deep gloss and a hydrophobic, self cleaning finish.
Machine polishing that removes swirl marks, oxidation and light scratches.
Safe degrease and dress of the engine bay so it looks as cared for as the paint.
Cut back yellowed, hazy lenses and seal them for clearer light and a sharper front end.
Hangar and ramp detailing for private aircraft, using aviation safe products.
Call or text with your vehicle and where it lives. Most exterior details are booked within a few days.
