Wade Hampton Boulevard is one of the busiest surface corridors in the Upstate, and stop and go traffic is surprisingly hard on wheels. Repeated braking throws far more metallic brake dust onto wheel faces and lower panels than steady interstate driving does, and it bonds chemically rather than sitting loose. Iron fallout remover is what actually dissolves it, and it is standard in our exterior detail.
The neighborhoods running up toward Paris Mountain have heavy tree cover, which means sap, pollen and bird droppings in quantity. All three etch clear coat when they bake in the sun, and the damage is permanent once it goes deep enough. This is the part of our Greenville County coverage where we get the most ceramic coating and paint correction enquiries, and for good reason.

Because brake dust is metallic and bonds chemically to the wheel face. Washing removes the loose layer and leaves the bonded layer behind, which is why wheels look dull even after a wash. Iron fallout remover dissolves it, and it is included in our exterior detail. Coating the wheel faces makes every future clean far easier.
Fresh sap and droppings come off during a decontamination wash. What does not come off is the etching left behind when they have baked in the sun for weeks, because that is physical damage to the clear coat. Usually yes. What a coating needs is shade, shelter from rain and reasonably still air through application and the early cure. A decent carport often meets that. We will look at your space and tell you honestly whether it will work or whether we should find an alternative.
Yes, the northern Taylors neighborhoods including the Lake Robinson side are inside our ring. Lake vehicles tend to need interior extraction more than anything else, because sand works into the carpet padding where a vacuum cannot reach it.
